The Beautiful and cool Oregon Coast

Once we put Bill and Deb on the plane, picked up our new spare tire for the camper, did laundry, bought groceries, and had the truck's trailer brakes worked on, we were ready to hit the road in search of cooler temperatures. Portland was supposed to hit 100 the next day so we headed for the Oregon coast where the temps were between 55 and 65 most of the time. Our first stop was called Cannon Beach RV resort.

The water was about 42 degrees. About the only people in the water were surfers wearing wetsuits. There was the occasional brave soul who dared to dive in but most did not stay long. It was perfect for sunbathing because there was a cool breeze but the sand was warm.

We took a little walk in a neighborhood behind the RV park and I had to take a picture of the flowers at this house.

These next pictures were taken at Ecola State Park just a few miles outside of Cannon Beach.

Most days the fog would roll in for a little while, but it would usually roll out pretty quickly.
