Idaho Falls and Shoshone Falls
Patrick said to remind you all that if you double click on the pictures then they will become full screen and some of these look fabulous when they are blown up so give it a try if you haven't already been doing that.
We spent a couple of days in Idaho Falls. They have a beautiful downtown area with many man-made water falls. Here are a few pictures of the Falls and the many pretty flowers.
That's downtown Idaho Falls. Now moving on to Twin Falls where we watched the fireworks show on the 4th and then went to see the might Shoshone Falls today. We also took a picnic and our kayak to Dierks Lake in the same park. We had a lovely day.
We watched fireworks on the 4th and a beautiful sunset on the 5th.
This morning we went to the Twin Falls Visitor Center right next to the bridge across the Snake River. This is one of the only bridges in the country that allows base jumpers to jump year round. We did not see any base jumpers this morning but the bridge is impressive.
From the Visitor Center we then drove to Shoshone Falls. They were very impressive. These first two are just small falls along the road to the "real" thing.
Here are just a few pictures of Dierks Lake where we picnicked and kayaked. It is a pretty little lake.
Well, that catches you up on our latest adventures. We will be driving to Boise tomorrow to spend a few days but probably won't post much from there. We plan to have new tires put on the truck, do laundry, buy groceries, and get a haircut. If we find anything exciting we'll let you know.
