Antelope Island State Park

The next day we drove out to Antelope Island State Park. It is on the Great Salt Lake and has a wide variety of wildlife living there. We saw dozens of bison. We even had one cross the road right in front of our truck and another cross just behind our truck. It is a very long walk out to the water because you have to cross wide salt and sand beaches to get there. Not many people were in the water the day we were there. I am guessing it is probably not a popular beach. We did walk down to the beach just so I could say that I had put my feet in the Great Salt Lake. Patrick refused to even put his big toe in. It smelled very fishy and has lots of microorganisms growing in it. Needless to say it took us a lot longer to walk to the water than I spent in it. LOL!

I think this may be the beach where we walked out to the water. The sand was deep and hard to walk in.

The bison statue outside of the visitor center and the obligatory silly poses with him!

These are descriptions of some of the wildlife that lives on Antelope Island.
