Spanish Trails RV Park, Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park
Once we left Arches we moved into Spanish Trails RV park just outside of Moab, Utah. They have just completed some renovations to the park and it is a great place to stay. Brand new washers and dryers in a very nice Laundry room, new pool and hot tub, a large tree &picnic table on a grassy spot beside each campsite all made it a very pleasant place to stay.
Here are a couple of shots of the camp sites.
The pool was heated and felt great. We enjoyed a day of catching up on laundry and then just having some downtime.
Our first day in Moab, we drove out to Hole N the Rock which is a 5000 sq. foot house that has been carved and blasted out of the sandstone mountain. It was a typical tourist attraction but we found it kind of interesting. The house stays between 68 and 72 degrees year round no matter what the temperature is outside. They didn't allow pictures inside the house so you can't see if for yourself but it was kind of cool.
On our second day in Moab we visited Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park. The pictures don't do either one justice. The views were incredible at both parks.
More from Dead Horse.
The last of Dead Horse. Now on to Canyonlands NP.
We hiked up a trail in Canyonlands to another arch with a beautiful view.
We just had to have our picture made in front of the Buck Canyon Overlook sign in honor of our dear friends, Bill and Debbie Buck. Next for some of the views from Buck Overlook.
That's it for Buck now on to Grand View Overlook.
That's it for Grand View Overlook and Canyonlands NP. It's hard to choose which pictures to post. There are so many interesting sights to see. See you soon.
